The Teepee is made of 100% recycled cardboard and sold flat and available with 6 interchangeable ornaments included in the box to let you pick your favorite: the dream catcher, the feather, the tomahawk, the eagle and the bull’s head.

In addition to cats, the Teepee is also perfect for all kinds of small furry friends like domestic rabbits, ferrets, and small dogs.

Q: My cat already had a small house made for cats and refused to use it. He is more of the kind to wallow in soft places like my bed or my sofa. How can I be sure that he will use the Teepee?

A: Cats are naturally attracted to cardboard or paper bags; that is why they instantly use them as soon as they are empty. This is the key of our success - our Teepees are entirely made of cardboard!

Q: My cat is no longer a kitten and never had a small house. Will he need any kind of training?

A: None. Many adult cats and even old ones (18 years old!) have adopted the product in spite of never having used this kind of product before. The time required before they embrace their Teepee may vary depending on their personality, but rest assured, we have never heard of a cat snubbing his/her new Teepee for very long!

Q: Why do cats love cardboard so much?

A: Cats love natural substances like cardboard because they are attracted by the odor. To this, we must add that they get pleasure from the texture of the rippled cardboard itself! You will probably see your cat rub his gums or his whiskers on the Teepee. The reason is that he is placing his odor (pheromones) on it. Cardboard has the capacity to almost instantly absorb this odor and this is a reminder to your cat that he is the owner and the user of this Teepee!

Q: Do you have a trick to get my reluctant cat to use the Teepee?

A: Just try to put some cats treats inside the Teepee. Repeat up to 3 times a day until you get some results. Your cat will quickly be at ease!

Q: Can I use a blanket on the floor of the Teepee to make it more comfortable for my cat?

A: Our advice is to give your cat the Teepee without any blanket at first. Remember that your cat is attracted first by the cardboard itself and the blanket will weaken the effect. Later, it will depend on you and your cat to decide his or her preferences.

Q: My cat is rather big (not to say tubby). Will the opening in the front be wide enough for him?

A: We have to admit that obesity is a problem that faces many domestic cats and we have succeeded in adapting its new creation to accommodate this growing category of cats. The Teepee door has been specially designed to be expandable should your cat need a wider door but remember, cats love wiggling into tight spaces. Give them a chance to prove that they may not be as overweight as you thought before you widen the door!

Q: My cat has claws, can he still use a Teepee?

A: The product suits cats with or without claws. If your cat has claws, he or she will use the Teepee instead of your furniture to wear out his/her claws. The product was designed with that in mind.

Q: My cat is very active and has a tendency to destroy everything, will the Teepee survive?

A: It is obvious that, if your cat munches all the cardboard boxes that come within his or her reach, he/she will probably do the same with this Teepee. However, due to its construction, the product is more resistant than standard cardboard. Depending on the behavior of your cat, you will have to decide if the purchase is worth it.

Q: What is the lifespan of the product?

A: The lifespan of the product depends on many factors: the behavior of your cat, if he or she has claws or not, and finally, on the number of cats you have at home. All we can say is that a lot of customers told us that they have the same Teepee or Chalet for over a year now.

Q: Was the Teepee made for an exterior use as well as interior?

A: Since the product is made completely of cardboard and is not treated to be water resistant, we strongly recommend against using it outside.

Q: Where should I place the Teepee?

A: The only restriction is not to put it near any source of intensive heat. From there, it all depends on your cat’s personality. Does he/she prefer to see the activities around him/her or stay alone in a quiet place? Try a few spots and it will be easy to decide the one your cat likes most.

Q: Is the Teepee convenient for a cat expecting or having newborn kittens?

A: Yes, certainly, the Teepee is simply a deluxe version of the anonymous cardboard box which has always been used on such occasions as a refuge for the mother and her kittens.

Q: Can we place a litter box inside the Teepee?

A: We are working presently on the design of such a product that should be available soon!

Q: Can I place a water bowl or food for my cat inside the Teepee?

A: The risk of spilling water is too great with the consequence of damaging the Teepee so the answer would be no.

Q: Is the product easy to assemble?

A: The product comes with an assembly manual which shows the few simple steps needed to do the job. It will take you less than 5 minutes to assemble your new Teepee, it's a promise!
